Since its creation in 1977, the Michaël Zingraf Real Estate group of luxury real estate agencies, affiliated to the famous Maison Christie’s International Real Estate since 2012, offers for sale and rental luxury houses and apartments located in places iconic.

Interview with the historic founder, Michaël Zingraf.

What was the genesis of your company Michaël Zingraf Real Estate?

The adventure began forty-five years ago when I opened my first real estate agency. To date, the company now has 22 agencies spread throughout the Côte d’Azur and the Luberon, but also in Paris, Deauville and Gstaad, Switzerland. Among these 22 prestigious real estate agencies, we work with agencies operating with our license, in Marseille, Lyon, and Megève.

A true reference in the field of luxury real estate, what are the values ​​that have forged the success of your Group?

For many years, the values ​​of our brand have revolved around trust, integrity, discretion and, above all, excellence. In the luxury real estate sector, reputation is also extremely important.

As my son, Heathcliff Zingraf, Managing Director of the company, reminds us, we do not define ourselves as estate agents and we do not sell properties; rather, we sell a service of excellence that allows access to real estate ownership.

Our forty-five years of experience in the field of luxury real estate allow us today to achieve a certain form of excellence in the work we produce. On a daily basis, our objective is to seek out very high quality products in order to be able to offer them to our vast French and international clientele.

You are also affiliated with Maison Christie’s International Real Estate. What does this prestigious partnership bring you?

To have been selected by Christie’s International Real Estate, among more than 150 other companies in the world, seemed like a crowning achievement to us, it is a real honor to be recognized in this way by this prestigious institution!

Very concretely, this allows us to access a large network throughout the world. If one of our clients wishes to buy a prestigious property in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, or in another country where Christie’s International Real Estate is represented, we can make proposals to them thanks to the privileged relations that we maintain with our colleagues present on site. In return, we also put ourselves at the service of this network of agencies throughout the world for any request. It’s a real work of synergy.

Has the health crisis changed the demand of your customers?

The health crisis has indeed changed the behavior of our customers. Currently, we work with a majority of French people and a minority of foreigners, which was the opposite until now.

Many French people wanted to buy what I call a second principal residence. Previously, a secondary residence was occupied for three weeks to one month each year. From now on, the secondary residence has become a second main residence; the owners go there much more regularly thanks, in particular, to the rise of telecommuting.

What are the future projects for Michaël Zingraf Real Estate?

We are actively working around several areas of development. First of all, we want to continue its development through new emblematic cities, in France and around the world.

At the same time, we want to pursue the development of our agencies under brand license; we are currently discussing with actors located, among others, in Bora Bora, Mauritius, Chamonix, and Geneva.

Finally, we want to offer new departments within our group around professional and commercial properties, by offering our customers exceptional vineyards, stud farms, shops, or hotel facilities. Within five years, our ambition is to open around fifty new branches!
